As you see, i decreased the width of the saucer using NU-scale. imo it adds to her charm.
Further more, i have added naccelles to her. Some of you might remember them from the old sf-a, where i posted pics of them. i never used them for anything so i figured i could use them here without kitbashing.
It's hard to bring them in the placement of the original, as my saucer design is quite different. Thus i had to play around a bit. the configuration i came up with suits her well, i think.
however it's depending on movook and his crew wether i'll have to change that, model new nacelles or do whatever http://www.3dgladiators.com/forums/ubb/ubbhtml/smile.gif

I have to say, the first design of this ship that was done for my RPG was a small piece of paper sketch. From that, I got someone to 3D it, but it didn't look right, no meshes, just a body, a few windows maybe, and warp engines which wouldn't hold anything.
I'm thankful XmESs took on the project, after stating it would be a challenge. Every step of the way, he's done amazing things with it. Changed the original spec, because you can't have a 600m ship! I didn't realise, well, I didn't do all the specs for it, so I thank Chris for his good eye. He's made this ship definately something else to shout about on my RPG! My crew love it, I love it, and if Chris was a female, I'd probabely marry her, but ah well, I'll find a female http://www.3dgladiators.com/forums/ubb/ubbhtml/smile.gif
Thanks Chris! Congrats, a well deserved ship. Can't wait for her to be finished, or to see the next step http://www.3dgladiators.com/forums/ubb/ubbhtml/biggrin.gif

In fact, if any of the more experienced modellers want to see what they can do with the Nottingham, let me know, and I'll post it in the mesh release forum.
(And I don't want to be accused of hijacking the thread, so this will be the last I say on the subject here. If anyone wants to pursue it, we'll start a new thread.)
