Civilian Liner

I was working on this but wanted to get your feedback on how I can make this look more like a TOS liner. Right now, it could sort of be movie era I guess with the nacelles the way they are. I was going for an Oberth look.

What little design cues would you all recommend?
Should I scrap trying to make it fit in to the TOS timeline?

Depends - is it alien? It looks Drazi to me.

I don't think it looks at all like a human design (no offense intended, assuming that you're human) in Star Trek. If you want it to look TOS, you need to use simpler geometric shapes. This ship looks very organic. Part of that is due to the texture, but the ship looks like it was grown rather than built.

i agree - i think the proportions and shapes are interesting, but think you need to go for a component-looking design to really capture that TOS look.

Yeah, that's what I was afraid of.
Let me see what I can do with it, although I wanted to move away somewhat from the blocky designs. I was thinking that perhaps the civilian spacefleet was a bit more rounded and not so utilitarian.

The shape doesn't need to be blocky, really. I don't think anyone would accuse USS Enterprise of being blocky. But It should be smooth, relatively simple, and elegant. That last one is sort of hard to acheive, unfortuntely. I often pick up design cues for TOS ships from late 1940s to mid 60s aircraft, which were contemporaries of USS Enterprise, after all.
