Not the next generation as in picard and data :D
I was thumbing through some of my anime books and saw the booster units of the vf-1 super ostrich

and got an idea for a new version of the minotaur.
So i did a quick & dirty outline in Illustrator.

The front is more based on the curran than the Minotaur.
what do u think?

Sure, why not! The design asthetic of anime is bit different from Trek, since it's based on curved interlocking panels and big surface projections rather than the smooth Starfleet style. But I'm interested to see where you go with this.

Yeah in anime size is an important part of the spacecraft.
So u wind up with a lot more surface detail.

I have always thought of your designs as somthing that could be used in an anime trek like TAS.

What the hell? Has this place suddenly turned into some kind of karaoke lounge?
BTW, I wonder what an anime version Trek would look like?

I think the anime style would offer a great deal of creative flexibbility and would work well with trek
I'd like to see an animated TOS era show in the style of Macross: Love do you rememebr or Akira.

Oddly enough, I have never seen Akira. Would you guys recommend it?

Akira? Recommend? Yes, but with a small caution. The story was originally told over a fair number of graphic novels that never made it into the movie. The movie, I believe, was done while the story was still be serialized so it focuses only on the first 'book'. It is still an amazing work.
I agree with Hito, an Akira style Trek would be interesting and probably very enjoyable.

And Akira's animation stands up to todays disney animation and it is from the 80s.
If you get or rent Akira
see if you can get the special adition version.
It has a slightly better english track if that is what you prefer.
I like Japanese with subtitles myself.

Breaking news!: The Starfleet Museum animation style! http://www.startrekanimated.com/tas_comic02_main.html
Regarding Trek Anime, I remember a Japanese scale modeling magazine (Hobby Graphic? Something like that) that used to have a running TNG manga.
