Okay, here's my very first LW animation:
Trek opening shot (http://www.subspacebbs.com/downloads/bot_shot1c.avi)
It's an attempt to recreate the general look of the TOS effects, including the flat lighting, random "giant" stars and the slightly jumpy ship motion in the last frames. I figure I'll start from there and work toward something more sophisticated -- Vektor is doing an amazing job of duplicating TOS effects for a project of his over in WIP,
and I can't see doing as well or better. So after I get a general feel for the look of the original, I'm going to try a slightly different approach.
I'm working with "Balance Of Terror", teaching myself Premiere and some other stuff while I work on the animation, so I slid the animation into the beginning seconds of the episode.
I don't know how long I can keep the animation up over at Subspace, because of bandwidth issues, but for now here it is.
