i sure hope it works, or starfleet has just strip mined a small asteroid
to build this bloody thing when they could have replaced the entire tricorder line
for the 9th fleet with half the material and a third of the screw ups..

I Just Received word that starfleet has called off the search for the soong..
shes now listed M.I.A.

all they were able to find of the soong was a single escape pod,
but nobody aboard, no logs.. no sign of trauma of any sort.

i have'nt even gotten this ship outta dock yet,
and already starfleet has pulled out the captains chair for there next prototype..
currently its being described as a Next Generation Defiant Style "Escourt Ship"

now if you ask me, i don't know why they just don't call it what it is..
it's a warship. everybody knows it, but they continue to go through this little
song and dance that they don't build warships..

i wanna make a note for this log that starfleet should pay extra attention to
lt. john mar , currently he's one of the yard workers over seeing the work to the ship
but in the last couple days i've had a chance to have lunch with him a couple times
and i feel he's being vastly under used..

he should be -designing- starships.. not installing waste management systems.
he's a good kid..

i think we'll have to leave that to the other branches of fanfic writers
to discover for sure, lol :) ... but if i were to write it, yeah.

as for the humor, thank you.. i'm glad ya like it.
theres still gonna be some mixed in but it's gonna be taking
a more serious tone ..untill the end of the series.

with the next post,
theres almost 40 % percent left and most of it all follows
a direct story arc. :)

The Captain asked me to lunch again today. He was going on and on about how impressed he was with my work. He seems to be particularly interested in molecular recycling systems for some reason.

Anyway, he's starting to give me the creeps. Asking me to lunch all the time, talking about how I should get a promotion, he even asked if I would consider transferring to his ship as an Engineering Supervisor. To be honest, I'm beginning to think that his interest in me is - how should I put this - more than professional. I'm flattered, of course - he is a Captain, after all - but I'm engaged.

Even if he is just impressed with my abilities, there's no chance in hell that I'm signing on to that ship. I mean, I don't really believe in curses, but I'll put up two-to-one odds that ship explodes the minute she leaves spacedock. In either case, I'm going to have to find a way to let him down easy.

I guess I can do it tomorrow - over lunch.
