I don't like it, it has no power or grace what so ever. It looks like a cobbled together design and not in a good way. I sorry to say this, because I was really looking forward to the design.

I would like to see a 3/4 view of it. Hard to get a feel in 2d.

Well, I think it is what they wanted. I just want a 3D model so I can make some pictures of it.

I would have to see it in 3D, and hopefully in some sort of animation.

I don't think it's really a bad design, but as skyhawk said, it's hard to get the feel of it from a 5-view image. Besides, if you think of it in terms of a TV show, the Galaxy class was kind of hard to get used to when TNG came out back in '87 (suddenly I'm feeling very old...) but the way they filmed her made her a much prettier ship than the really should have been. Every ship has viewing angles that make it look either very beautiful or truly hideous. It's just about finding the right angles.

If you go over to Scifi-meshes.com and look up Vektor you'll find a cool version of what the Titan could of been .

It reminds me of a mix between an Akira class and a Sovereign class... Hmm.

Just imagine (in starboard view), an oval or rectangle above the plane of the saucer, over the rear of the nacelle. Now the shape seems in balance.

Have to admit it is impressive, but I agree with those who say a 3/4 view would give a better idea of the Titan's shape.

i was actually thinking of putting a animated fan film together about the titan, partially based on the books.

but i'm still figuring out how to use my animation program, blender.

There are a lot of tuorials out for Blender.

Well, at least the pics loaded. The last time I was at simonsays.com, the pics of the Titan didn't load. Of course, I was still using crappy Internet Explorer back then.

That being said, I'm a little disappointed. I was hoping for an original design, not a cross of the Sovereign, Akira, Miranda and Nebula classes. It's not bad since it was obviously done with no 3D software, but it looks like a big kitbash.

Well, if you do make a series, I hope you find a better design. This doesn't really look like much more than a rehash of the Premonition Class from the Star Trek: Armada RTS that came out a few years ago, and it's still ugly. Still, the runners-up aren't really any better.

Also, I remember reading something about Gene Roddenberry's rules for starship design requiring the nacelles to be at least 70% visible to one another, but that was probably just a random and moot article, since the rule has hardly been followed even by the producers of the shows even since TNG (Nebula Class).

Still, I find it much more aesthetically pleasing to have the nacelles on a different plane from much of the rest of the ship, and that pod above the engineering hull seems too big and awkward to be functional.
