I got the DVD set as a 'prize' for winning a group sales contest at work. After viewing the episodes, all that I can say is MONEY WELL SPENT!!!!!
This show ROCKED!! :)
....and I'm just trying to figure out where in Hades I was, when the show originally aired.
:sigh:

Fox did such a crap job of supporting it that no one really knew about it. I still think it would be on the air now if Scifi had it back then. That would have been a money line up. Doctor Who, Firefly, Battlestar

The problem with Fox is that they give a show just a few weeks to "make money" and, if it doesn't look like it will, they yank it. Most of the networks do that, but they're the worst, followed closely by CBS. I never even heard of this show until recently because I had a lot going on in RL when it was on. If it was still on, I could've gotten into it, I like Serenity.

A couple of my friends watched it, but never told me anything about it until after the show was cancelled and it wasn't until I had purchased "Serenity" until discovering for myself how good the show was.
We need Firefly outfits for Aiko Toon and Hiro Toon...

I sadly never heard about it while it was on, either. However, the up side to that is that I got to see the series in the correct order. Those watching it on broadcast had a very screwed up lineup, and didn't see the pilot until the very end. Which is one reason why the ratings weren't up there.

Hats off to Joss Whedon who noted everything wrong about sci-fi shows and movies and made a series and movie right. When I saw this I was very disappointed in Ron Moore. Here I was thinking that Moore was doing something new and original (as per him) with how BSG was being written and directed, only to find out that Whedon did that first, and better. I like BSG, but I really don't care that much about the crew. With Firefly/Serenity, I do. And that's the real shame of discovering the show so late, and knowing that it's probably over.
And if it were to come back to television again. . .how to bring Wash back. . .

Too bad Nathan Fillion (Mal) is already slated to be on another Fox show. I've been seeing previews for it. And, if that show stays and they were to bring Firefly back, they'd have to find someone else to play Mal. I hate it when they do that.

Naw, Morgan, it should be Zoe's dream. Have her get out of the shower and there's Wash lounging on the bed.
It's a real test of age if anyone remembers this scene and show.
