Anyone know a little more about the plotline of the new Tim Russ Film "Of Gods and Men"?

Did you try going to the project home page? I think there is a forum there as well..

Is this a Star Trek film or what? If it is, does it have to do with the New Voyages project?

Its a Startrek fan movie, but I dont think it has anything to do with new voyages.. Its the one that Roliba is working on..

In that case, I'm moving it to the regular ST discussion area.
I also changed the thread title to something that might generate more responses. "Dunno if this should go here but?" doesn't really tell anyone what the thread is about, so they might not come in and join the discussion.
Personally, I know nothing about the film but I'd love to learn more about it also. I didn't even know Tim Russ was directing it until I read this.

OK, here's what I found with about 20 minutes (not counting the 10 other things I'm doing) and Google.
Official Website: http://www.startrekofgodsandmen.com/
Timeline of the mini series: http://www.startrekofgodsandmen.com/index_about.htm
More semi-useful stuff: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_Trek:_Of_Gods_and_Men
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0835378/
The timeline on the official website has a glimpse of the plot, but it basically looks like a guarded secret, as these things usually are. It looks like it's 10 years after Kirk disappeared, 9 after Scotty went MIA. It looks like Chekov, Uhura and Harriman (captain of the Ent-B from Generations) get together for a romp with some other familiar faces.

It has shades of the Dark mirror universe as well.. It really does look pretty good...

Yeah, too bad it's only going to be available on the internet. I might have to hook up with some friends who use DSL or Cable so I'm not 6 years downloading it.

Haven't dissapeared, got caught up with work and with other things associated with moving into a new place over the past few weeks. I thank everyone for your responses, and again apologise for not being around so much the past week or so.
As for the film, it looks interesting, saw the trailer for it about a week ago, and also was doing the same googling today that you did above ^_^;;
Wonder if Russ might consider releasing this mainstream?

Yeah, that would be cool. I'd like to see it on DVD. As for not being around, NP, we all get busy. :D
