I'm pretty sure wavers is short for users of lightwave3D, course I could be wrong
Either way, nice looking sandman, impressive use of particle effects

Nice job with lightwave. I have the software but have gotten so used to using poser, that I am having trouble switching over. Any tips?

Since LW is divided into two sub-programs, modeler and layout, it's probably best to start off by focusing on one area or the other. The tools in modeler are relatively simple, but may be intimidating if you haven't had any exposure to other 3d modeling programs, you'll also want to teach yourself the difference between point mode and polygon mode. Layout has a lot of bells and whistles, so it may take a while to learn the basics, lighting, rendering, and particles.. Probably best to work on one thing at a time, then move on once you've mastered it.
Sorry for the thread hijack

The only problem I have with it is the fact that it the animation looks a bit rushed. Other than that, it looks great.
