View Full Version : Weird Max Stuff

Anyone know what causes this?

I have a little Klingon mesh (soon to be available here!) in old Max 2.5 format.

It loads ok in Max 3.1 (see att. #1)

However, this is what happens in Max 8SP3 (see att #2)

I exported it to 3DS format from Max 3.1, then loaded the 3DS file into Max 8SP3, and it came out ok.

But still.... why'd it get fubared in the .max format???

It comes out screwed up in DeepExploration too, but that may be due to the fact D/E is using my Max8 for .max files.

I have heard that newer versions of Max are incompatible with versions older then 5. so that might be whats causing it...

I've heard the same thing from Max users. That's pretty crappy, if you ask me.

Whoa I've never seen this happen before. Missing or flipped polys but never total displaced points.
