In terms of rendering, which weighs more--the RAM or the processor? That is to say, what influences rendering times the most. I, for example, have an Athlon 800 MHz processor w/ 384 MB SDRAM. What would affect my renderin times more--a 1.1 GHz processor or 1.5 GB of RDRAM? (just being extreme with my figures for illustration purposes).

I think it's the processor, but if you have a graphics card with dedicated RAM, that helps too. RAM only really says how much you can hold in memory at any one time - if you only have a 450mhz processor, all the RAM in the world won't speed things up once you get to a certain point. Sure, things can be manipulated more quickly and in greater quantities but at the end of the day it comes down to processor cycles per second.
