'..we british will never outdo the Americans when it comes to volume killing. but for sheer perversity there's something about our murders that makes us unique. As a nation we do murder rather well.'

'Yes Winston,' Rand said 'We do, don't we'

(Ghoul by Micheal Slade)

If you had the time to lose
An open mind and time to choose
Would you care to take a look
Or can you read me like a book?

It means only one thing, and everything: cut. Once committed to a fight, cut. Everything else is secondary. Cut. That is your duty, your purpose, your hunger. There is no one rule more important, no commitment that overrides that one. Cut.
The lines are a portrayal of the dance. Cut from the void, not from bewilderment. Cut the enemy as quickly and directly as possible. Cut with certainty. Cut decisvely, resolutely. Cut into his strength. Flow through the gaps in his guard. Cut him without mercy to the depth of its spirit.
It is the balance to life: death. It is the dance with death.
It is the law a war wizard lives by, or he dies.

ooooOOOOOOOOooooo http://www.3dgladiators.com/forums/ubb/ubbhtml/redface.gif
http://www.3dgladiators.com/forums/ubb/ubbhtml/eek.gif what can I say. Not a bad piece. I do hope you write more, as well as your other.

Didn't have time to read all of it, just the first paragraph (I am sorry, bit busy).

Other than that, well, what I saw, it looks impressive. I'll try to read it another time http://www.3dgladiators.com/forums/ubb/ubbhtml/biggrin.gif

Okay? http://www.3dgladiators.com/forums/ubb/ubbhtml/smile.gif

Nt sure if this is going in yet.... but it's Kai (my pilot in Elite) in a classroom talking to the new pilots....

'When you've got a Kashtuka 464 nosing at you tail, your shields are in the red and your're overdrawn at the energy banks.. Thats when you have an Elite moment or you
die....' Kai looked round the calssroom full of young faces, sighing silently inside at the number he knew would be dead within a year

'The textbooks you've been reading have talked about position and angles. But nothing will prepare you for that first moment when realise that the incoming track you have on your scanner, isinfact someone who wants you dead. Truth is many of you won't survive'

'the zen of combat is the one who manages overcome his fear and steady his hand against the rush of adrenaline will be in the superiour position. Then the fancy flying
skills you've all learnt in the simulators will come into play...'

Get on his tail. If there are more than one, stick on the most dangerous and kill him first. Don't go for after the quick kill of a sidewinder if you've got an ASP sitting on your tail.
The ASP has Missiles... the sidewinder don't...'

That sounds about right for your character Kai, still trying to think of a little piece like that for my own....
