Okay I got this image from a buddy and I have to say I much prefer the sensor/navigational deflector pod being up rather than down.
Anyone think they could whip up a steamy with the reverse deflector?

I like this steamrunner more than the canon ship.

I prefer the lines of the canon one, I just like the nav deflector being raised instead of lowered, I find the bottom slung one makes it look like the ship is towing something. :)
Cool, anyone wanna take a stab at making a SDteamy proper, but with a high slung nav defelector?

Yeah it is pretty stylin as a design, but I like the lines of the canon Steamrunner, gives it a bit more bulk.
In fact it is the only First Contact ship I like. I can't stand the rest.
That said, I am curious, someone once told me they tried to model a steamy with an upswung deflector, but I can't remember who it was for the life of me.
Oh well, I'm sure I will remember...
