i dunno any trek ships either, but there are two original things i think would be cool to see:

1) a full size federation timeship, none of this piddly one man stuff
or
2) a federation heavy fighter, screw the viewscreen diplomacy, lets blow stuff up!

(i am aware however that thats not really what you were after ^_^;; )

Hmmmm, hard question!
So, I thought, why not give it a go. I can always do with another ship

1: USS Promethus
It's a cool ship, and splits into 3. Cause of it's size, I would have thought it would be a bit bigger, but it's a ship with a surprise. I had trouble toying with this and no2, but this came my top ship.

2: USS Voyager

4: The Akira in First Contact that flys by the camera after the explosion, has to get credit!

I gotta go with Vastator on this one, I loved the Excelsior the moment I layed eyes on her. I actually think I like the way the Excelsior II (Ent. B) looks more, but in my heart, it's the NCC-2000 all the way. I think STVI shows her off nicely.

The USS Enterprise. NCC-1701. No bloody A, B, C or D.

It's the ship I grew up watching. The ship that launched a thousand dreams. The ship with no Holodecks, no children running around as "acting ensigns" or "captain's assistants". The ship with Spock. The ship with Uhura's Fabulous Legs (not to mention the rest of her). The ship that returned fire before opening hailing frequencies. The ship that didn't have a security officer, yet its security protocols weren't bypassed every other episode. The ship that actually explored strange new worlds instead of doing routine patrols.

Oh, but you want 25. Hrm. That's tough, because there's a lot of ships I think are cool, but I don't remember their names, or what the races were that built them.

Like the timeship from ST:VOY commanded by Kurtwood Smith (the guy who plays Red on "That '70s Show", and who also played the Federation President in STVI:TUC). Or the generational ship from ST:VOY.

The K'T'inga class cruiser is definitely high up on my list -- the classic lines of the D7, but with much better detailing. And I'd probably have to put the ISS Enterprise on my list. (Yes, I know it's technically the same as the original Enterprise, but the Terran Empire dagger-through-Earth symbol plastered everywhere, plus the women's uniforms, definitely made it a cool ship.)

The Phoenix, of course, and the Enterprises A, E, C and B, in that order. (Never cared much for the Enterprise D, though -- it always looked like a pregnant hydrocephalic duck to me. The Defiant wouldn't make my list, either, as it looks too much like a hockey puck with a beak. I don't really like Romulan ships, from any era. Or Vulcan vessels -- big brown shoehorns, for the most part.)

The SS Botany Bay was kind of cool.

Sorry I can't give you 25, but Federation ships are mostly just variations on a theme, and the ships-of-the-week are usually fairly mundane.

I honestly tried to think of 25 ships, but I simply can't hold that many thoughts in my head at one time, let alone compile them in to a list. So... I'll just give a few of my favs.

THe Excelsior. I like this ship because it was the first "new" design to come long in a long while, but it still held on to the basic design principals. It even had the same shaped bridge fer cryin out loud! (On the ertl model, at least). It was cool a,d it was glowy without being gaudy, which is something most of the later ships suffered from big time.

The Refit. Just a beautiful ship. Beautiful. All the little details that made it so great... like those big windows for the garden thingy, and the fact that you could actually visualise how the interiors would fit in to it.

The Miranda Class. It looks like a warship. It looks mean, positively ready to kick buttski.

The Ent E. Classic. So many people have said this ship is ugly, but it has the lines man! It looks great from any angle, it looks fast, it looks sleek, it doesn't look lik it's about to hurl up a furball.

The rest. Yes.

Oh, forgot to put, if I win, since I don't have any ship to 3d and such, I was wondering if I could give my prize to my friend who's designed one?

I think all the Enterprises are pretty nice. All are very nice looking. If I had to pick one.. probably the Excelsior refit class.

I'm not going to do 25 ships; it's way to many, but here are my choices.
Enterprise re-fit, absolutely. There is'nt an angle that you can view it at that it does'nt look anything other than good.
Excelsior - not the Enterprise-B. Long, sleek, beautiful.
Sovereign Class - Looks like it's doing Warp 9 whilst it's at a standstill. IMO, it's the ship the Enterprise D should have been.
Akira - different, but still a lovely ship.
TNG Romulan Warbird -Just goes to show that evil & beauty can go together.
K'Tinga Class cruiser - marvellous variation of the D7.
Klingon Bird of Prey - It's not pretty, but then again, it's not meant to be. A very original design, with loads of little details.
Defiant - New direction for Federation stlye - more ships should be built like this.
