Hey there - hello. Nice pic and your first post too! Unfortunately I cannot get the whole effect unless I download and convert to a more viewable size for me (1024x768).

Damn, that is nice.
Needs to have no credits on it (we place a logo on it and the text credit is on the page) and sized to the right size for the site though

I'll remove the credits straight away, then.

Nice composition! Is it just me, or does that left nacelle look stretched vertically?

Very nice ...
Just one thing - is it only my monitor or is the planet and the nebula difusing into each other (on the top of the planet)?

Right then, all fixed. I've re-rendered the pic at 1024x768 without credits.
Here's the link - Version 2
Salek - I've used a Gradient map on a sphere to create a realistic falloff on the Atmosphere, but where the shadow begins, the transparency effect becomes more pronounced, hence the diffusing effect.

Nice. I love it! Where the spheres at the rear of the nacelles ever lit?

I don't know about those asteroids. They look a bit dull, being all black and of nearly uniform size. Are they supposed to be part of that planet's ring? They sort of remind me of a bunch of raisins.
Otherwise, very nice picture!

Masao, It's supposed to be the remains of a Moon in orbit around the Gas Giant, originally destroyed by the Blue Dwarf turning into a Supernova.
